After Monday’s show, things got a little crazy for me and I ended up getting ill over the past 24 hours. It has managed to significantly reduce my strength to the point where I’m going to have to take a couple nights off from the show. Chalk it up to my stress levels getting too high: I’ll be fine once I can take care of some pressing duties (mostly wedding-related, since the big day is now a little over two weeks down the road and everything goes chaotic just beforehand).
As such, I have rearranged some items in the schedule to reflect this. I’ll be doing the pencils for the next page of Peter & Company on Friday, inking it on Saturday, and adding the colors — Yep, this page will be full-color! — in Photoshop on Sunday. Hopefully by Monday I should have my new inking supply in hand to where I can start cranking through the inks for the next three pages of Ademar as well.
Thanks for tuning in, everyone. I’ll see you all on Friday evening.

Hey folks,
I wanted to let you all know that tonight’s plan for the broadcast is going to be pushed back and placed as tomorrow’s show instead. Whitney and I decided to take the opportunity to finally see Toy Story 3, which we still haven’t had a chance to see just through lack of funds. After all that’s gone on over the past few weeks, we deserve a movie night, so we’re seizing the opportunity.
So yes, just to clarify: Tomorrow at 8 pm (normal time) I’ll be turning on the cam to produce the pencils for the first page of Chronicles of Ademar. I may work longer than two hours depending on how much progress I make (and to make up for missing tonight).
See you then!

Last night’s (June 27th) webshow was a ton of fun, yet again. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get my scanner running properly before it got too late, so I’ll be fixing that as soon as I get home from work this evening before tonight’s show. Expect to see another update today with images of the P&C Cast Page sketches that were produced (including Korgar, Chelsea, and Persephoni in her bunny form). More of these sketches will be produced with tonight’s show, so be sure to come back for that.
Also, the calendar on the right bar has been updated to reflect this week’s schedule of topics. Give it a quick look to see which shows you’d be most interested in catching. Most of this week’s material will be focused on the Cast Page Revamp project, since I really want to get the new page done as soon as possible.

Sort of a forced break time, but one that’s necessary nonetheless. I managed to get the Mac back up and running, and found out that my data drive (with all of my comics/music/etc.) survived the incident unscathed; unfortunately, the same could not be said for the boot drive, which was completely reformatted and lost all of my installed program data. I have backup discs for the programs I used most often, but a lot of them are older versions and I’ll need time to recover the updates from where I was before.
Basically what this means is that I’m taking the weekend to issue a bit of amnesia recovery to my computer. I also have last-minute errands that need to be run out-of-town in anticipation of my upcoming wedding which will require spending several nights over the weekend at various family members’ homes. As such, I’m putting the webshow on *pause* until I return on Sunday (since I’m pretty sure that laptops and camera equipment wouldn’t blend well with a hyperactive three-year-old nephew). Rest assured I will be broadcasting at 6 pm EST that evening to crank out as many sketches for the P&C Cast Page Revamp project as I can before my hand falls off at the wrist.
Thanks for everyone who left comments in various places about this whole incident, too. It’s nice to know the show has a dedicated viewing audience in such a short time.

Unfortunately, the show had to be canceled tonight when my 7-year-old G5 Mac tower decided to die on me during an OS update. This is unfortunately my main source of music and art production, and without it functioning I’m pretty limited in terms of posting stuff on the web. I postponed tonight’s show to focus on attempting to fix the problem.
At this point, it seems to be a corrupted boot drive. I’m doing a clean re-install of the OS, but if that doesn’t work out then I DO have another option for updating my sites (Whitney’s computer will work just fine — I just need to customize it a bit to work with what I need to do). Regardless of the outcome, the show will resume its regular schedule tomorrow evening. Tonight was just too chaotic; when your computer tower starts making a noise like a jet engine revving up to redline levels while jammed on the loading screen, you start to lose your focus on other things for the time being.
Sorry again about this, folks. I’ll have the situation resolved by tomorrow for sure.

As mentioned in the schedule on the side bar, tonight’s show will be starting around 8 pm EST instead of the usual Sunday time of 6 pm EST. Also, as I have a prior engagement earlier in the evening that may bring me home at a later time, the show may be delayed further by an additional 30 minutes to an hour. If this is the case, just hang tight and keep the window open in the background until the feed starts.
Edit: Sorry guys, I got back later than I had anticipated and 11 pm EST is too late to start up the cam at this point since I have work early in the morning. I’ll have to hold off on it for tonight and resume the regular broadcast with tomorrow evening’s show. Sorry again about missing tonight, but prior engagements take priority, particularly with family!
Also, I have updated the schedule on the right bar to reflect the coming week. I will be doing this every Sunday evening, so be sure and give it a look over to see which shows you’d be interested in catching later on. A few of them are dependent on viewer feedback, so be sure to tune in if you’d like to sway the direction of the show!

Hello, everyone!
Welcome to the website for my new daily web show. My name is Jonathan Ponikvar, a graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Sequential Art. I’ve always had a passion for drawing, but haven’t been able to find a way to really keep myself motivated to draw every single day. I’ve come to realize that I draw more efficiently and regularly when I have someone looking over my shoulder; as such, I have launched my “Inking Room,” a Ustream live art feed that I will be turning on every evening for the enjoyment of whomever may tune in.
From Monday through Saturday, I will draw, ink, paint, and occasionally teach art techniques to the viewers. Every Sunday will be spent producing the next page of Peter & Company, my weekly online comic. During these broadcasts you can expect things to get a bit silly on a regular basis — although I offer no apologies for any off-color sketches that may occur, I will say ahead of time that I won’t be drawing anything that you wouldn’t see on basic cable. I’m not an adult artist, and this show will certainly remain friendly towards all audiences.
After each show is finished, I will be uploading and posting all of the produced artwork to the front page of this site. Note: if the work produced is a final image for either P&C or Ademar, I will instead link to where those images are posted on their respective sites. However, this site will include those related sketches and Works-In-Progress.
Information on the show and a link to the feed can be found in the menu to the right. Thanks for checking out the site, and I hope you enjoy the show!
