The inking of the lineart for the first page of Ademar was split across two separate nights — mostly because Futurama comes on at 10 pm on Thursday, and I ended up starting the show late that night anyway because I got caught in traffic. So I decided to swap out Sunday’s scheduled P&C page with Ademar, since I really want to start painting this first page as soon as possible. Now that it’s complete, I will be updating the schedule so that the first few nights are dedicated solely to painting in ink wash and watercolors.
Also, I’ve begun recording these Ustream sessions so that I can archive my progress and save my tutorials. Here are the two nights’ recordings for both halves of the inking process:
July 15th: An hour of inking and random singing.
July 18th: 30 minutes of piano, followed by the rest of the inking.
I’ll be recording my sessions every night, but only posting them here whenever there’s something I’d specifically like to archive or present as an embedded video, like with a specific project or tutorial. Since I won’t be scanning the inked lineart for these pages, I figure showcasing them in video is the next best way to do it. Expect more of these to be posted down the line as I get further along in my progress.
